What is really precious in life?   Take a big piece of paper and on the left-hand side write down PRECIOUS and on the right-hand side of the paper write MATERIAL.

On the left-hand side, and you could add more, is things that are forever.   You can’t replace them.  A rose shows love, a sunset is so beautiful, a rainbow, and laughter come on.  These things are so precious.  They are real.   When you pass on to the other side you will remember the beautiful red rose in your mind, you will love your newborn baby, you will remember the sunset, the rainbow, and you will remember your and other’s laughter  You see these things are what’s important.

On the right-hand side is material possessions. The red Ferrari that can get smashed up in a car accident. The mansion worth millions can burn up in a fire, outdoors furniture gets old and falls apart. A beautiful diamond ring, superficial beauty, not real. The trip to Vegs. It’s just a trip and is nothing precious.

Material possessions come and go, but the real stuff lasts forever. All I’m saying is that you have to figure out what is really important in your life.

Where is your heart?   What do you love?  Who do you love?  Is love just a feeling or is it more than that?  I believe the words go something like this (I’ll have to look it up in my Bible when I have more time what verse, etc., I just wanted to keep typing):  For whosoever believes in me will never die, and have everlasting life.   It says something like that.  Jesus gave us so much from his heart and we will never be able to repay him.  But, he doesn’t ask for repayment, he just mostly asks for your love.  If you love the Lord you will try and be more like him.   Yes, I am a sinner and I repent, and I would love to be more like Jesus and in my own little ways I try to be more like him.  Why?  Because he was and is so great.  You will never and I mean never find anyone like him. 

Now, everlasting life what does that mean?  I believe that it means just what it says.  Forever, finite, going on and on forever, no matter what.  Another way that Jesus shows us his love.   He is our great protector and loves us so much.

Who is responsible for all?     You know some people believe that there is no God.  You know they are entitled to their view as God gave us free will.   But, when I just for example look at my dog Fritz, I have to ask myself how can there be no God.  Just look at him.  He has beautiful colored fur.  Kind eyes, and just his paws are a wonder of God.  I couldn’t have created all this stuff just on my dog.  The way he acts, the way he loves us as a family.  All the ways of just my little dog Fritz.

Then, there’s much bigger things in this world take for example the oceans.  Oh my Gosh!  I couldn’t have put that one together, but I know  who’s “the man” that could have done all of this.  The beautiful fish, the little creatures under the sea, the algae, the plant life under the ocean, the sand, the wind, the rain, etc.  You get my point of view.

Then, there’s the flowers of the earth.  How many are there?   How many species.  I’ll have to look that one up sometime.  Beautiful flowers that our God created with his own hands.  Tell me that there is not a God.  How can anyone say that.  I surely can’t in my own heart and mind.  But, to everyone we have our own opinion, right.  That’s the way that God intended.

When a new baby is born.  Where does this form of life come from?  Could it be from God to bring into our home such a precious gift.   Again, “he’s the man”.  I couldn’t have pulled that one off either.

Why did he do all this creation stuff?   Did he do it so that he could share his all consuming LOVE for us?   Maybe.  Sounds about right.   I believe with all my heart and soul that he did it because he has so much LOVE In his heart and just wants to share it with us.

We just have to keep an open heart so that we can accept his undying love for us.  He’s always there waiting for us to just recognize him and love him back.

You know we try to figure out our problems ourselves.  We think and plan and try to decide what to do.  We ask friends and neighbors what they would do, but in the end if we would just go to Jesus.  You see he has all the answers.  I mean the right answers.   Many times we are so emotionally involved and we forget to go to him.  He’s just there waiting for us to come to him.

Just like now, our German Shepard Fritz is in a bad way.  His little back legs are bad and he can’t hardly walk yet.  The vet has said it is a nerve that’s giving him problems.  The vet has done some like chiropractic manipulations on him and given him some meds, he’s not falling down, but still isn’t doing good.

You see, I’m guilty of it too.  I’ve been trying to go it alone and figure out everything myself.  But, tonight I’m sitting here watching him sleep and I realize that he might not make it, but I have to remember what I said to two other people that had to let their dogs go.  My Fritz will wait for me up in heaven if he has to go.  Geez I never thought this way, but maybe he can play with my first dog Mitzie.  I might be wrong, but in my heart I feel that Jesus takes our animals be it a dog, cat, whatever pet we have and I believe Jesus has them waiting for us up there.   Yes, I do.  You see Jesus can do anything can’t he.   And, he knows how important our pets are to us, doesn’t he.

You see when I first got married I went to a what is called a Charismatic Retreat. Yes, I left for the weekend without my husband, but it was worth it.

I went to a church service, and when I was at the alter, I was afraid when I saw people falling backwards, and other people catching them.  I Prayed to Jesus to not let that happen to me.  I had never been to one of these things before.  It was a Catholic Retreat and the Priest was touching the foreheads of people with holy oil and they were falling backwards as they were being blessed by the holy spirit.  They call it being slain in the sprit.  It was my first time for attending a service like this.  When something is new to you there’s a feeling of being uncomfortable and a little bit scared, but, I really didn’t have anything to fear at all.  It was Jesus touching them with his Holy Spirit.   If you’ve never had it happen to you, then you might not understand at all like I didn’t understand what was happening to me or to the other people that were falling backwards.    I seen people on television like this, but had never experienced it myself.

Well, I was having some problems from an automobile accident, and I was praying to Jesus to be healed and once the Priest touched my forehead with the holy oil I felt so relaxed I felt like I could almost float out of the top of my head.   And, as I was praying, I heard this soft small voice say to me “Your pain is nothing like the pain I had when I was on the cross”! And then I realized within seconds that I was injured from the car wreck in the same places as Jesus. My hands, feet and 6 fractured ribs on the right side from the automobile accident. Now, you know when something like this happens to you, you just don’t forget it. 

After we had received the holy spirit some of the people that were organizing the retreat asked people afterwards if anything had happened to any of us as they wanted them to go before everyone and tell their story.

I did get up in front of the big crowd and I mean it was big.  My knees and voice were shaking, but I had to tell my story because it really happened.

You know, I feel so blessed because of what Jesus has done for me. 

I wanted to share this real story with you because I want whoever is reading this post to realize that Jesus is not dead he’s very much alive and all you have to do is to ask him to come into your heart and to be your savior.    He really does love you more than you know and he’s just waiting for you to come to him.   Whatever you are struggling through just give it to Jesus because he’s always there for you.

Years ago, I used to walk around a park.  The park was about 3 and a quarter miles long.   I started on my walk and got 3/4 around the park when it started getting dark outside.   My heart was pounding as I realized I wasn’t back to my car yet.  You see one of my legs was hurting me too.  I felt like I was in real trouble.  So, as I was trying to get back safely I glanced down to the left-hand side of me.  I noticed that a black dog came up right in front of me while I was walking and this dog, I kid you not, looked just like my first dog when I was a little girl.  The dog’s name was Mitzie.  Now, you have to know that I used to pull Mitzie’s tail when I was a little girl but the dog never bit me.  My relatives used to tell me this.  Anyways, to get back to what I was talking about this dog took the lead in front of me until I could see my car parked in a parking area in the park.  Then as I could see my car again this black dog (my Mitzie) keep walking like nothing was happening.   I wasn’t afraid anymore and I got back to my car safely.  I stopped hyperventilating when the dog first came to me and I felt safe after that.

I believe to this day that when I asked Jesus for help that he sent me the one thing that would calm me down and so I would feel protected as the park was getting darker and darker as I was walking and that was my Mitzie dog.   Praise Jesus.

And there is more to this true story.   I was sharing my story of my Mitzie dog and the park to two other people (I don’t really know them) but I’ve shared my story with them this week and tried to give them comfort.  You see both of them had to put their dogs down because they were so sick.

You see, I told them I believe in my heart that Jesus takes their dogs to Heaven and they will see them again.   Why not, Jesus took my Mitzie dog and put him back with me so I wouldn’t be fearful in a very dark part while I was walking alone.

Jesus can send us whatever he wants to be it an angel or his holy spirit.  He doesn’t want us to be alone or be afraid.  He is always with us until the end of time.  Thank you Jesus for sending my Mitzie dog when I needed him the most.

I had gone to a hospital to pray for a relative that wasn’t going to make it.  I was the only one there at the time.  I took the day off from work because I didn’t want them to die alone.   They were going to pull the plug and then the other family members would show up, but I wanted to just be there to pray for him.

I tried to pray as best I could.  In between napping, I was praying.  Sometimes if you cry too much you are just exhausted, but I stayed there anyway.

I felt like maybe my prayer wasn’t enough.  I tried my very best, but then asked Jesus to please help me.   After sometime, a gentleman walked into the hospital room and told me he was a Pastor and that he had heard that my relative was here.   He placed his card on the hospital table and introduced himself.

He prayed for my cousin like I’ve never heard anyone pray before.  He said to him “Listen dude”  if there is anything that you want to ask Jesus’ forgiveness for you should do it now.   Listen dude?  Thank you Jesus because this is just the perfect prayer that should awaken him even though the doctor said he’s not there anymore.  I believe he was there.  You know they say the hearing is the last to go when you are dying.  I believe this Pastor got the point across so well.  I just said Thank you Jesus in my mind and heart.   The Pastor ended up leaving and they did let my relative go on to be with Jesus.

Later on, I asked his sister if she ever spoke to the Pastor and she said to me that he had dropped off his card, but there wasn’t any phone number on it or anything, just his name.  Well, that’s something. . . .

Either he was an angel from up above, or he was an angel down here on earth.   I couldn’t believe that I asked Jesus for help and help arrived just in time.

I believe in angels be it heavenly or earthy angels.  Yes, I believe. . . . .

Sometimes we feel like the lowest of the low.   Everyone has fallen short of the glory of God.   It doesn’t matter what your profession is, or how much money or material possessions that you have.  It doesn’t matter with Jesus.

Ask Jesus to Come Into Your Heart

Give your heart to Jesus.   Ask him to be your Lord and Savior.  He hears your voice and cries for help.  You will never be alone again.

He Died on the Cross for Your Sins 

He died so that you might have life.  He loves you so much if you would just give him a chance.

When You’re Feeling Down and Out

Go to Jesus he will always be there for you no matter what.  He loves you unconditionally.   Once you ask Jesus into your heart everything will change for you.  You will feel like a new person and knowing how much he loves you.

Remember no matter what Jesus really does Love You!

When you have the Holy Spirit inside you my friend you have it all.  No one can be any richer than you.

No amount of money can buy the Holy Sprit.  It’s a gift from Jesus.   You see to me all the money in the world cannot take the place of the Holy Spirit.   The Holy Spirit is always with you.  He never goes away.

To me when you are “Blessed by the Holy Sprit” it’s like being touched by the hand of the almighty God.

The world can oftentimes be a dark and lonely place, but when you’re blessed with the Holy Spirit you realize that you are not alone.  Sometimes we feel like what’s the use?  What am I here for?  Sometimes we give up caring, and sometimes we just feel unloved, but listen close he never leaves us alone, we are here for a divine purpose, he cares so much for us, and if we knew just how much he loves us we would be simply amazed.   I hope and pray that the Holy Spirit Blesses you forever.

The Lord is so good to us.  He has left us a comforter to always be with us until the end of time, and that comforter is the “Holy Sprit“.
